Rotorua Creative Arts Trust
is committed to promote, foster and contribute to the Arts Culture in Rotorua. The Trust has identified an innovative opportunity to enhance our contribution to the Rotorua community by providing an exhibition for artists to display and sell their works, as well as providing yet another option to enrich the cultural environment of the community, including those attending one of the Wearable Creation n Colour Events.
This exhibition is designed to touch a broad section of the community from those who view and purchase the pieces, to exposure for artists, something which is clearly in demand, as well as sales opportunities, thereby benefitting the trusts charitable benefactors.
As part of the exhibition, the Trust will also showcase the spectacular history of the Wearable Creations and Colour Awards by displaying, press clippings, memorabilia, and assorted past entries.
Artists will exhibit by invitation only, ensuring the exhibition provides saleable items appealing to a wide range of tastes and will include art that is diverse in the type of media, size and price.
The Rotorua Creative Art Trust strives to excite, engage and educate our community and visitors through our première event “the Wearable Creations n Colour Awards” as well as initiatives such as this Art Exhibition concept.
The week long exhibition commencing on August 23rd will include innovative additions such as lunchtime workshops with special guest artist presentations and other opportunities for the public to interact more closely with the artist community.
